Kingscliff Wolves FC

Kingscliff District Football (Soccer) Club

Kingscliff District Football Club aims to provide all Tweed Valley players with a clearly defined development pathway from grassroots football to the Premier League Competition and to promote the game of football at all levels within the Tweed Valley.

Tweed Valley Kings was founded after a collaboration between Kingscliff and Murwillumbah soccer clubs. Players from both clubs combined their efforts in the 2008 First Division (playing as Kingscliff Wolves) to finish the competition undefeated and earned promotion to the Gold Coast Premier League.

Kingscliff played under the Tweed Valley Kings model for four years in the Gold Coast Premier League. The first couple of years in the league were a struggle for the TVK Men, but the team managed to stick it out and remain in the top league. In 2011 the team came within one point of taking out the league, and in 2012 were FA Cup finalists. The TVK Women were successful from the start of the venture, and finished off with a League and Grand Final double in 2012.

After structural changes by Football Gold Coast in the latter part of 2012, TVK was forced to disband and continue running as Kingscliff District Football Club instead. The same philosophy still holds, and we’ll need to fight our way back to the top again.
